"I don't believe in journalists having 'responsibility.'"
-Seth Lipsky, October 16, 2003

Seth Lipsky and Ira Stoll demanded on August 20, 2003, that Washington "finish the war" against "the Arabs."

Seth Lipsky and Ira Stoll assembled their staff for a Champagne toast to mass death on the commencement of hostilities against Iraq. Stoll called it "my war." CNN maintains a running update here of Americans killed in Ira's war.

On February 6, 2003, Seth Lipsky and Ira Stoll wrote, in all seriousness, of a pending anti-war demonstration that the "the New York City police could do worse, in the end, than to allow the protest and send two witnesses along for each participant, with an eye toward preserving at least the possibility of an eventual treason prosecution."

The June 9, 1995 Wall Street Journal quoted an SEC complaint against New York Sun backer Bruce Kovner as saying Kovner had "altered and destroyed" subpoenaed evidence. We wish you'd do the same to the daily print run of your God-awful newspaper, Bruce.

Also, Professor G. Harlan Reynolds alleged on August 27, 2002 - when the Sun was several months in publication - that Seth Lipsky and Ira Stoll had not yet paid him for a piece authored for their inaugural issue.

Regular readers will note I have been absent for a bit. And I am happy to report that during my leave, that is while not reading the execrable fraudsheet that is the New York Sun, I have noticed an increase in cardiovascular strength, better complexion, and improved motor skills. Go figure.

SethAndIra are loyal to a fault. Take the convicted felon Ahmad Chalabi. Today, in an idiotorial, SethAndIra hurl feces at Senator Clinton of New York for daring to criticize Chalabi.

Chalabi, mind you, is a known bank swindler and fraud, an intelligence fabricator who has no business being championed by anyone. But SethAndIra still declare him the Great Iraqi Hope. Apparently, as George Costanza once noted, it's not a lie if you believe it.

But what of SethAndIra's loyalties? They have had merry fun lately bashing Silver Star hero John Kerry in their birdcage liner. Likewise Max Cleland, a triple amputee who lost three limbs in the service of his country, has been ridiculed by these purported patriots. Even the senator from New York -- whatever you think of Mrs. Clinton -- should be received with a higher level of respect than a dispicable con artist like Chalabi.

But no, SethAndIra choose Chalabi. So I ask again: Where are their loyalties? Chalabi has hoodwinked and embarrassed our country for his own ends. Kerry, Cleland, and Clinton serve our country faithfully. Let me ask you a related question, Lipsky:

Chalabi or America?

So yesterday I said I was going to write about the latest Alicia Colon joke, "Behind the Debate Over Gay Marriage," in which she blames the Commies for the current pro-gay-marriage movement. But today I find I haven’t got the heart. In the past, she has seemed perfectly polite when dealing with LFLS (to complain, sure, but always very politely). But while I was looking for said column online, I found a February 13 column in which she wrote, “Hitler's chief propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, invented the following formula: Invent the lie; repeat it often, and it will become the truth, no matter what the facts are. Mr. Bush's opponents are using this formula to try to convince the country he is a liar.” So Bush’s opponents are like Goebbels. In the same column she compares John Kerry to Benedict Arnold. (Don’t believe me? It’s here.)

So, while always a bit demented, it appears that Alicia has become a full-bore psychotic. And it wouldn’t be nice to make fun of the mentally ill.

Even though the gay marriage column is pretty rich. See, this ex-FBI agent wrote a book in the late 50s where he laid out 45 goals the Commies had to achieve on their way to world domination, I guess, and Alicia points out that one of those goals was to “Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as ‘normal, natural, healthy.’” And Alicia points out that 40 of the 45 goals have been achieved! (It’s true! HUAC has been eliminated! Big business has been infiltrated and taken control of by the Commies! Colonial governments have been overthrown before their native populations were ready for self-government!) Also, Alicia points out that we lost the Cold War:

“Many of us dismissed the import of our schools and universities being dominated by socialists and leftists who were teaching the children the party line, but time has been on their side all the while. How stupid we've been. How arrogant we were to think that we actually won the Cold War.”

But like I said, I’m not going to mock her any more. She is doing too good a job making a mockery of herself.

Sorry posting has been light, but the whole LFLS staff has been camping out, on line, waiting to get tickets for that new movie that everyone is talking about!

Tomorrow: "Alicia and The Naked Communist!"
